80 Sculptors Way, Hamilton, NJ 08619
The Seward Johnson Atelier and Grounds For Sculpture are joining forces to make the already popular Frost & Flames event at Grounds For Sculpture one to remember. Four ice carving artists are at different locations within the grounds with two large blocks of ice to carve over the course of the event. Watch as The Seward Johnson Atelier fires up the furnace to pour molten metal to create one-of-a-kind art objects. You are welcome to gather, watch the carvers and Atelier artists, and converse with them as to their technique. Later in the day, catch a unique pop-up performance by one of the early evening’s strolling flame dancers.
Tickets should be purchased online directly through Grounds For Sculpture at http://www.groundsforsculpture.org/Visit/Buy-Tickets
The Seward Johnson Atelier is teaming up with Grounds For Sculpture on this artistic night out.
Come watch molten bronze glow red-hot as Atelier technicians demonstrate a metal pour. See where the magic happens on a tour through the Atelier’s inner workings. Then head over to GFS to grab a drink at their open-air beer garden (non-alcoholic & alcoholic beverages available a la carte. Must be 21+ with state-issued ID to purchase alcoholic beverages). Stroll through the gardens, enjoy the artwork, and maybe take in a pop-up performance or three. Event free with admission to Grounds For Sculpture.
